The September Oracle

Let's get into it!! This theme of release is all over this reading. And it is expanding into the 'why' we can't. We are being asked to personally and collectively look really deeply into what we have outgrown. Like a snake that needs to shed her skin.. at a certain point, we must feel the discomfort and be willing to squiggle, squirm and shed what no longer fits us. Individually we all have things we hold onto longer than we should. Collectively? Well.. we just have to look around and see that the foundations we built a country with.. well, they need a sharp cut. The cards have some harsh realties for us. Remember, I'm reading for us on a collective level and an indivual one. And if you do not have it in you to work toward a collective goal.. you working on you, strums the whole. Each of us working on our personal lives.. to be better, more kind people and create more good in the world. That helps us all!

FEVER: As I touched on in my newletter.. a fever is the body's brilliant alarm and immune system activator. When a virus or bacteria invades our space and starts to become a problem.. the body raises the temperature. To alert us to the fact that something is wrong. To put out internal alarms so the body gets into action! So.. .the question for this month becomes, what needs a match? What in our lives feels itchy? Constricting? Edgy? What in the collective are we continuing to do over and over despite the fact it's making us sicker and sicker? This month, the challenge for us is to find one small thing (or a big one if you have capasity to work on a collective goal). It doesn't have to be big. Just one thing you are ready to let burn to the ground. A daily habit you hate? A relationship that needs a reset? Time to shed a job you hate and take a leap? A fever is just what the doctor ordered!

4 OF PENTACLES + THE HANGED MAN + 5 OF PENTACLES: I know it's hard to let go.. good Goddess, look at his pissy face! He's just holding on for dear life. Trying to keep a grip on whatever he's got. Not realizing that the walls he's building around him are just continuing to isolate. What are you holding onto? Despite the fact you don't even like them or need them anymore. I know it's hard to let go. I don't like it either. But if you put on a jacket that's 3 sizes too small.. when do you decide it's time to upgrade? Combine this with that wretched 5 of Pentacles .. I know you feel alone. The isolation is making you feel you are the only one struggling. But you aren't. The 'outsider' vibe of these people on the outside looking in is both scary and depressing. But, we aren't alone. All we need to do is knock on the door and find the others inside who are ready to welcome us. We have to make space for it, though. By.. what? Yup. Letting something go. Burning it off. Shedding the skin. And the whole point of this is for the wisdom. That Hanged Man wants us to remember that sacrifice and leaving a bit of us on the table, truly leaves room for more wonderful things. The Hanged Man is the ultimate wisdom giver.. but it requires us to step back, take a discerning look at what works and what doesn't. Listening to yourself. Gathering information and letting what we don't need.. fall from the tree. Retaining only the knowledge.

DARE TO DREAM + FATE: Here is the next level of this message. While we are shedding.. the scary part becomes, what's next? And right now we cannot know for sure. We may see glimmers here or there but like all endings; we are blinded by the doorway and cannot see in. Sort of like turning on a light in the middle of night. We are blinded for a moment until our eyes adjust. Until we can 'see' what's next .. we have to allow ourselves the space to Dare to Dream. No planning. No list. No checked boxes. Just a far-away dreamscape. Whatever you are thinking.. Dare to Dream says THINK BIGGER. This liminal space of shedding and waiting for the next phase is the one place we can lean into our internal and collective fairy tale. How will we move forward if we don't dream something berserk and amazing into reality? I mean.. how much fucking weirder can it get? We have to out-weird their weird with something magical. And Fate is also a part of this process. Some of the things happening in the world and in our lives right now are just part of the whole fabric. The etymology of the word fate means "one's lot or destiny" but interestingly also "one's guiding spirit". So, while much of this struggle-bus bullshit does feel strangely like it must be something more designed by someone above our pay grade. But, Fate (good or bad) is also an invitation to seeing how we respond to said hiccups or pot holes. Do we go straight for the swirly rabbit hole of doom or do we decide to pivot and make the most out of the bullshit? What this is all saying is - while we are shedding things and putting a keener eye on our patterns and habits (again, collectively and/or personally) that just don't do us any damn good - can you still find a space within you that dreams bigger? Fantasizes more wildly into whimsy? And how do we react to some of the fated circumstances that are hurdles. Do we curl up and wither or do we see it, acknowledge it and figure out a work around? Again, make room for this magic.. what needs to go?

THE BARDO: A bardo is the space between the worlds in Buddist philosophy. The space between life and death. Ultimately, we are currently lingering in this in-between space. The chaotic and strangely peaceful space. Most people consider this space to be deeply uncomfortable.. but frankly, when you think about it. We live in this most of of the time. We aren't the same person we were yesterday. And the tomorrow version of you hasn't been created yet. We ARE the liminal space. And right now, we are witnessing the dying and the birth of so many things.

TOO LONG, DIDN'T READ RECAP: Allow this space to be simply what it is. The in-between. We can sort of see all of it and also none of it. Dream bigger. Release the things we are clinging to. Stop the isolation and outsider vibe.. we aren't alone in this. Simply knock on the door to find your people. The wisdom comes when we sacrifice a bit of our comfort zone and embrace the unknown. Let the fever burn away the things that feel like poison or discomfort. Make room.
